Project Agreement and Free Care Offer terms

1. The offer

1.1 For agreements signed and deposits paid from October 10, 2026 through March 31, 2027, the Studio gives you 3 months (90 days) of Care Standard service free with a new website or app build at the normal build fee.

1.2 Who qualifies: a business, nonprofit or church located in the Wiregrass or Alabama Black Belt region, or a graduate of a WWW WASHME TV, Inc. program. One offer per business, counted by business name and owner. The Studio may decline any project before a deposit is paid and will refund anything you have paid if it does.

1.3 Our promise: your first 3 months of care are free, no matter what. We only promise what we control: our work, our response times and our prices. We do not guarantee search rankings, sales or the performance of outside services.

2. Scope sheet, deposit and build

2.1 Within 48 hours of your intake form, we send a written scope sheet listing the pages, features and build price, and this agreement to sign.

2.2 Work begins after you sign and pay a 50% deposit of the build price. The remaining 50% is due when you approve the final preview, before launch. The deposit is fully refundable until the build starts; after that it covers trainee and mentor time and is not refundable.

2.3 You review your site on a private Netlify deploy preview link before anything goes live. The build includes 2 rounds of revisions. A round is one combined list of changes. Changes beyond 2 rounds, or anything not in the scope sheet, are quoted in writing at $45 an hour before we do them.

2.4 You provide accurate content (business details, prices, hours, photos) and confirm you have the right to use it. We never invent prices, testimonials or claims.

2.5 Sites are built by mentor-led trainees under the supervision of the Studio Director. Every site is reviewed before launch.

3. Free care

3.1 Free care starts on the day your site launches (“launch day”) and lasts 90 days. It does not start on the day you sign up.

3.2 Included: hosting oversight and uptime checks; security and software updates; monthly backups; up to 1 hour of small edits each month (text, hours, prices, photos, menu items); monthly checks of forms and links; a search (SEO) check; and support by email and phone on business days.

3.3 Costs extra: new pages; new features or integrations; redesigns; writing new content; photography; edits beyond the monthly allowance; domain registration and renewals; and third-party services you choose. Extra work is $45 an hour and always quoted in writing first. Unused edit time does not roll over.

4. After the free period

4.1 Care continues only if you choose it. On your intake form, a separate checkbox asks whether you want care to continue. If you leave it unchecked, care simply ends on day 90 and you will not be charged.

4.2 If you check it, your chosen plan starts on day 91 after launch at the price you agreed to, charged monthly in advance, until you cancel: Care Essential $39 a month, Care Standard $69 a month, or Care Plus $99 a month.

4.3 We email you on day 60 and day 80 after launch with the date your free care ends, the price that starts after, and how to cancel.

4.4 We will tell you at least 30 days before any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancelling

5.1 You can cancel care at any time, for any reason, with no fee: online in one step on the My Project page (project code and email), by replying to any Studio email, or by phone.

5.2 If you cancel during the free period, you pay nothing for care. If you cancel after, care stops at the end of the month already paid and no further charges are made.

5.3 Cancelling care never takes your site offline by our choice and never affects your ownership in section 6.

6. Ownership

6.1 Domain: your domain is registered in your name and paid by you. If we register it for you, we transfer it to you on request at no charge.

6.2 Content: your text, photos, logos and customer information always belong to you.

6.3 Site files: once the build is paid in full, you own the finished site files. We keep the right to reuse our general tools, templates and code patterns, and you get a permanent license to use them as part of your site.

6.4 Leaving: if you leave, with or without a Care Plan, we send a complete copy of your site and content and help move it to you or another provider within 10 business days, free.

6.5 Accounts: outside accounts (domain, booking, payment, email) should be in your name. We never ask for or store your card numbers, bank details or passwords in our forms.

6.6 Portfolio: trainees may show your finished site in their portfolios and the Studio may list it as client work, unless you opt out in writing.

7. Records and signatures

7.1 You agree that checking the agreement box and typing your name is your electronic signature.

7.2 We keep a record of your consent (the exact wording you agreed to, your typed name, the date and time, and your internet address and browser) for at least 3 years, together with records of cancellations and reminder notices. You can ask for a copy at any time.

8. General

8.1 Our total responsibility under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. We are not responsible for outages or changes at outside providers.

8.2 This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. If anything here conflicts with your signed scope sheet, the scope sheet controls for that project.
